Meet the Coaches

Head Coach

Shannon Burke Musak

Shannon, a 2003 graduate of West Genesee, was a key member of three state championship teams (2001, 2002, 2003). She finished her tenure as the program’s record holder in career and season goals, assists, and points. Shannon was twice named a First Team All-American, as well as the 2003 All-CNY Player of the Year.

After high school, Shannon went on to play Division I lacrosse at UCONN. She finished her career as the first Husky to earn 100 points in a single season, with school records for assists and points in a game (7 and 10, respectively), a season (58, 100) and for a career (103, 245). After starting in 63-of-66 career games, she held the nation’s longest active goal-scoring streak at 54 games and the second-longest point-scoring streak at 56 games. She lead the nation in scoring (6.25 ppg) and assists (3.62 apg) in her senior season.The midfielder became UConn's first-ever player of the year honoree, taking home the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year award on top of three consecutive appearances on the All-BIG EAST First Team. She was named a First Team Regional All-American three times, as well as a Second Team IWLCA National All-American in 2007.

Prior to returning to West Genesee, Shannon spent time as the Director of Women’s Lacrosse Operations at Syracuse University, Camp Director for Gary Gait Inc., as well as coaching many years of club and youth lacrosse. Most recently, she was an Assistant Coach for Fayetteville Manlius, and a Head Coach with Gait Lacrosse Club

Assistant Coach

Kelly Fucillo

During her tenure with the Wildcats, Kelly was a key part of two New York State Championship teams (2007,2008), both of which had undefeated seasons. She was twice awarded All-CNY First Team honors, and was also named an Under Armour All-American. Kelly went on to have a successful collegiate career in goal at LeMoyne College; leaving her mark having earned First Team All-American, NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year, and NE-10 Statistical Champion (save percentage). Prior to returning to West Genesee to coach in 2020, Kelly coached at Potsdam State, Honeoye Falls-Lima, and Westill. She also spent two years as an employee of English Lacrosse Association coaching in England.
